Your inspection should include:
- Check under the hood.
- Test panels to determine if they are metal.
- Inspect the tailpipe.
- Take a test drive.
- Inspect the interior.
Be sure to stand behind the car while the seller starts the engine. If that first burst of smoke is heavy or blue or black in color, the car may have engine problems.
